Marcelo Martinez has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry in operations management, project development, and metallurgical processing. Mr. Martinez was appointed Vice President, Mexico Operations in 2026 and is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and technical leadership across Alamos Gold’s operations and development projects in Mexico. Prior to his appointment, he served as General Manager, Mulatos District, where he oversaw all aspects of mine-site operations. Mr. Martinez joined AuRico Gold (a predecessor company to Alamos Gold) in 2012 as Processing Manager for the El Chanate mine and was later appointed Project Manager for Mulatos, where he led the construction and commissioning of La Yaqui Phase 1, Cerro Pelon, and La Yaqui Grande. Prior to joining the Company, he held operational and project development roles with Agnico Eagle and Goldcorp. Mr. Martinez holds a degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Metallurgy from the University of Sonora.
