Colin Webster, B.Sc. (Mining Engineering), P. Eng., Vice President, Sustainability and External Affairs

Colin Webster is a proud community member of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg and holds a keen interest in fostering meaningful and collaborative relationships between Indigenous communities and the resource industry. Mr. Webster has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry and was appointed Alamos’ Vice President of Sustainability and External Affairs in 2016. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Webster was Vice President of Sustainability at Noront Resources Ltd., and previously served as Director of Aboriginal, Government and Community Relations for the Canada and US Region at Goldcorp Inc. Prior to Goldcorp, he was a founding partner at Blue Heron Solutions for Environmental Management, providing technical and professional services to the resource development industry. In 2022, he was the recipient of the Skookum Jim Award by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada, which recognizes an Indigenous individual’s significant contribution to the mineral industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University, a diploma in Environmental Technology from Fanshawe College, and is a member of the Conference Board of Canada’s Corporate-Indigenous Relations Council.
