San Nicolas
San Nicolas is a recent addition to Alamo’s exploration portfolio, but it is one that has us excited due to its size and inherent potential.
The San Nicolas target has been exposed to very limited exploration work, yet in our initial reconnaissance work we have observed large areas of prospective alteration. From our helicopter reconnaissance at the beginning of 2010, we saw the familiar colours of favourable alteration types that are often related to gold mineralization, which left us a desire to know more. We plan to continue our exploration of San Nicolas throughout 2010 and conduct geochemical surveys and map the geology of the area.
We are approaching San Nicolas with the intention of generating targets to be drill-tested in 2011 and 2012. We’re anxious to see how the San Nicolas project expands, potentially becoming a larger part of the Mulatos story.
