The Mulatos Mine is a story that grows richer every day -- quite literally. And not just from new areas where we are just starting to scratch the surface. The El Victor North exploration project is an example of the potential for Alamos to continue to expand upon existing mineral reserves.
El Victor North has strong potential to expand upon the El Victor mineral reserve, as it is adjacent and appears to be continuous with the gold mineralization in the El Victor deposit. This material is currently classified as waste in the Victor pit design, as it has not been previously drilled due to difficult access associated with the cliff-forming alteration.
We plan to use a man-portable core rig to drill the alteration, or use the unique drilling method of putting an underground rig capable of drilling horizontal or up holes at the base of the cliffs, which was used to successfully drill Cerro Pelon.
Stay tuned for new developments around this promising target.
