El Realito

At Alamos, we’ve learned that even a nugget of gold can occasionally be worth more than its weight. Case in point: Smaller deposits such as El Realito suggest the potential for significant returns.

Over the past couple of years, Alamos has focused on delineating smaller satellite projects, such as those at La Yaqui and Cerro Pelon in close proximity to the Mulatos Mine.  Our initial economics show that these types of smaller satellite deposits that have the potential to be incredibly profitable while mined over a small numbers of years. We believe El Realito could follow the next chapter in a series of short, but sweet, stories.

The El Realito target is located in the northwestern portion of the Mulatos District about 12 kilometers west-northwest of the Mulatos heap leach facility. Drilling programs conducted in 2004 on the eastern portion of the property encountered potential ore-grade mineralization,

such as 24.4 meters of 5.98 g/t Au. Alamos is currently conducting a re-evaluation of the data to re-define the oxide mineralization previously identified at El Realito.  From this work, we hope to define mineral resources for future evaluation by our geology and engineering teams.

As more of the secrets buried beneath El Realito reveal themselves, our optimism surrounding this program builds.
