Our Programs and Values
It’s one thing to speak of being a responsible corporate citizen; it’s quite another to “walk the walk.”
To truly effect positive change, you need concrete, planned-out programs that can be implemented and built upon. We have committed ourselves to developing such initiatives. As a result, Minas de Oro Nacional (Alamos Gold's wholly-owned subsidiary) has received an Empresa Socialmente Responsable (“ESR”) certificate for two years running.
In order to be ESR certified, a company is evaluated in the following areas: quality of life of its employees within the company; a company’s ethical standards; relations between the company and the community; and the company’s policies regarding protection and conservation of the environment.
In short, this was recognition for doing things the right way.
