Of course, optimism has forever been a necessity for anyone in this business. These days, however, that optimism must be balanced by something else: reason for optimism. Or, put another way, evidence.
Which leads us to the next thing you should know about us:
Since the acquisition of the Mulatos Project in 2003, Alamos has grown from a development company into a producer of gold. And we expect that growth to continue, driven by our deep commitment to translating exploration success and know-how into our future mines – and into increased value for our shareholders. We currently employ about 500 people at
our Mexican-based operations and have achieved what we believe to be steady-state production of our heap leach operations. Throughout this site, you will learn about the growth of our operations, and we will share compelling evidence that this is a success story with many chapters still to be written.
Another thing about us you should know is that:
Our team is intent on establishing better, higher standards of operations within this industry. For example, we have made a habit of not only meeting industry environmental standards, but exceeding them. We are providing rewarding jobs and better living conditions for our employees. And we are improving the lives of the people in the region where we operate through many initiatives. (To learn more about all these initiatives, view our Corporate Responsibility section.)
