In 2009, Minas de Oro Nacional (Alamos Gold's wholly-owned subsidary) received an Empresa Socialmente Responsable (“ESR”) certificate. The ESR certificate was presented by El Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía (“CEMEFI”), a non-profit organization formed in 1988. Its mission is to promote and support the philanthropic actions of citizens and organizations, in order to achieve an equitable, fair and prosperous society.

In order to be ESR certified, a company is evaluated in the following areas: quality of life of its employees within the company; a company’s ethics standards; relations between the company and the community; and a company ’s policies regarding protection and conservation of the environment. Alamos is pleased to have been recognized for its ongoing contributions to its employees and community well-being.
